Simple Summer Lunch

These pink tomatoes are from my back garden. I use the plural but there is just one tomato in this picture. They are tasty and healthy. I specially didn't use any salt or olive oil on them so that we could taste the raw goodness.

Today I am going to boil some tomatoes and peppers for the winter.

last of the summer strawberries

The most fragrant and tasty strawberries I have tasted this year. I am afraid we won't get any more of them, so I made some jam and reserved the rest. I like to crush some fresh berries into the jam right before serving, that is when I will use them.

The pictures didn't turn out nice. It is such a rainy and dark day here today, I had to use the flash.

Karanfilli Şeftali Reçeli

Şeftaliler inanılmaz lezzetlendi. Soyması kolay, çekirdekten ayrılması daha bile kolay. Halkalar halinde dilimlediğim 3 kg. şeftaliye, sadece 1 kg. toz şeker koyup kısık ateşte çok uzun kaynattım. Son yarım saat içine 5-6 karanfil attım ve bir limon sıktım.

Rengi çok güzel oldu. Fakat az şekerle yapıldığı için uzun ömürlü olmayacak, bu yüzden küçük kavanozlara koydum. Kavanozu açınca bir hafta içinde tüketmek gerekiyor.
