from now on, i decided to keep my food blog in english. i need to write in english otherwise i am going to forget how to use this language... the words keep running away from me....
this week all the summer jams i made are finished. i thought they would last at least till january but no, we ate them all. of course i gave away lots of jars but mostly was eaten by aydın at breakfast. so i decided to make some winter jams now. the house still smells of bitter orange. i added some vodka at the last minute and some cloves.
by the way, the moon was beautiful last night. took some pictures but just one came out nicely.
I think kumquats are funny looking. I grow a small bush in my apartment, but I bought these. They are delicious little oranges. This recipe is for my dear friend, who loved them.
First you need to cut them in two and take the seeds out. Then boil them with some water and sugar. I used a cup of water and 3 spoons of sugar for this amount. 
After the water evaporates, I squeezed a juice of 2 oranges and added some Grand Marnier and boiled them for another 10 minutes.
